What is included in the free plan?
Up to 3 active projects, 2 team members, project tanks, costing calculators, sign-off requests, payment tracking and photo uploads. No card is needed to get started.
What counts as an active project?
Only projects marked active count towards your limit. Closed, archived and hidden projects do not count, so closing a finished project frees up a space.
Can I run one project across multiple sites?
Yes. Link your registered sites to a project and track progress per site and overall. The central site registry keeps owner details, contracts, renewal countdowns and regular site checks in one place.
Do I pay for each team member?
No per-person fees. Each plan includes a set number of users: Free 2, Starter 5, Workshop 20 and Multi-bay unlimited. Need a few more on a paid plan? Add extra users for R99 each per month.
Can everyone see the financial information?
No. Company administrators choose who can view costs and download financial spreadsheets. Other team members can work on tasks without seeing your rates or totals.
Can I use WorkTanx on site?
Yes. Sign in from your phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection. Your projects, photos and approvals are shared across devices.
Can I sign up as an individual for personal or home projects?
Yes. You don't need a company or a business to use WorkTanx. Individuals use it for home renovations, DIY workshop projects, moving house and personal to-dos. Start free with up to 3 active projects. Home & DIY sign-up →
Can schools, NPOs or community organisations use WorkTanx?
Yes. Customise the tanx with your own tasks and stages, and add as much or as little detail as you need. Schools use it for sports tournaments and prize-givings, theatre and stage builds, estate and grounds maintenance, campus directional signage, and PTA or fundraising events — while NPOs, charities and community organisations use it for outreach drives, volunteer coordination, donor deliverables and fundraising. Can WorkTanx handle recurring routines?
Yes. Any tank can refill itself — on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule, or as soon as every task is done. Tank leads can also tap Refill Now. Checklists reset for the next round, while costs, payments and the history of every earlier cycle stay untouched.
Does it work with my accounting software?
Yes. Issued invoices export as CSV files ready to import into Sage or Xero, so your bookkeeper keeps working the way they already do.
How do I move to a paid plan?
Create your workspace with the free plan. Paid plans offer more active projects and team members, with monthly or yearly billing.
How does the launch offer work?
Sign up by 31 January 2027 for 50% off your first 3 months on any monthly paid plan (Early-Bird Launch). You then keep the introductory launch rate locked for 12 months. Sign up between 1 February and 31 March 2027 and you still lock in the introductory rate for 12 months. Standard pricing applies to new accounts from 1 April 2027.
